ITALIANO
|
THE
PLACE |
The nearest beach is in Bonassola; it’s one of the most
beautiful beaches of the Riviera di Levante. In summer, from mid-May
to late September, there’s a public free part, a private
part with admission fee and an equipped part where only beach
chairs and umbrellas must be paid. It can be reached by car (about
30 minutes, 9 km) or on foot, 30 minutes walk on a beautiful path
in the wood. From mid-June to early September there’s a
bus service between Montaretto and Bonassola.
In Framura, a little farther on foot (40/50 minutes), there are
Portopidocchio beach, the cove in one of the pictures below and
Vallà and Arena beaches, reachable on a pathway full of
charm along the cliff. Also Framura can be reached by car in about
20 minutes (5 km).
If you like reef, diving and snorkelling, in 25/30 minutes on
a track in the wood, you can get to The Scà, the amazing
wild cove reachable only on foot or by boat that you can see in
the last picture below.
Advice for all tracks. Even if there are no specific difficulties,
hiking shoes are recommended and consider that we are 170 meters
on the sea level, so the way back is all uphill!

TREKKING |
|
|
The Poggio del Salice is right halfway on the coast track between
Bonassola and Framura. The track, marked SVA in the hiking maps,
runs high on the steep rocky coast which characterises the last
stretch of the Riviera di Levante. Most of the way is deeply immerged
into the woodland with its peculiar glimpsed landscapes and breathtaking
views. A total immersion in the pristine wilderness. The walking
time to Bonassola or Framura is between 30 and 45 minutes.
An extensive network of tracks between Bonassola, Framura, Levanto
and the inland is available for all kinds of hikes, from the most
simple and relaxing to the more challenging and fulfilling. The
information and cartographical material is at your disposal in
the apartments.
The Cinque Terre National Park is very close and the best way
to get there is by train or by boat.
Monterosso, the first town of Cinque Terre, is only 5 minutes
away by train from Levanto and the trains run very frequently,
at least one every 30 minutes.
If you want to reach the Cinque Terre not using the car, you can
walk down to the Bonassola train station (about 30 minutes) and
then take the train (10 minutes to Monterosso).
Most of the boats leave from Monterosso, but there are two boats
every day that leave from Levanto. The boat allows you seeing
the Cinque Terre and Portovenere in the same day.
The entrance in the villages is free, while to walk on the tracks
in the Cinque Terre Park you must buy an entrance ticket. Further
information about tracks and rates are available on the site www.parconazionale5terre.it

TRAVELLING |
|
|
|
CAR
In our region most of the roads are windings and quite narrow,
therefore driving by car take often some extra time. On the other hand
you can enjoy views and sceneries unique in the world.
Parking in the towns and near the sea will be asked for a fee, especially
in summer.

|
|
|
TRAIN BUS
The best way to travel in the region and especially across
the Cinque Terre, is by train. The trips are quite frequent and they connect
the towns in a few minutes by avoiding the long detours of the roads.
The nearest train stations are Bonassola and Framura, reachable also on
foot in 30/40 minutes walk in the wood or Levanto by car (10 Km).
Buses between Montaretto and Levanto or Bonassola are not frequent during
the year and they finish on early afternoon.
However from mid-June to early September there’s a bus service between
Montaretto and Bonassola with 6/8 trips a day.
More information about timetables can be found in the links page.
